Student Life

Northland Career Center provides many opportunities for students to become involved through membership in various student organizations. SkillsUSA and FFA are Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO's) that are organized at the local level and carry up to a national level. You can click on a specific organization to the left to the learn more about the groups, meeting and conference schedules, student highlights, and competition winners.

Northland Career Center Ambassadors are a group of students who represent NCC at their sending schools, jobs fairs, and interview panels. They convey to other students, faculty, and members of the community the benefits and advantages they see for attending the Career Center. Click on the link to the left to learn more about the Student Ambassadors.

Character Education is a program that NCC participates in with the Platte County R3 School District. The goal of the program is to raise responsible citizens and employees living a life of good character. By focusing on a specific character trait each month, students from the various programs are selected to represent that month's trait based on their attitude and behavior. The Character Education link to the left will take you to a list of the monthly traits and students winners.

NTHS is a career and technical student organization that encourages and recognizes academic achievement, provides opportunities for students to practice leadership skills, promotes educational excellence, gives students access to scholarships (www.nths.org) and enhances career opportunities for the NTHS membership.
