Law Enforcement/Crime Scene Investigation

This program is intended to be a general introduction to the American Criminal Justice System with emphasis on law enforcement. Students will explore U.S. Constitution Law and the Missouri Criminal Code. Some of the skills and knowledge of the general duties performed by law enforcement officials will be presented by officers from a variety of local law enforcement agencies adding their knowledge and experience with lectures and demonstration throughout the program. Students will participate in lab activities related to each area of study.

PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR

Huth

Angeleic Huth has been a Criminal Justice educator since 2020 and has taught and trained criminal justice professionals since 1999. She retired from the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department after more than 25 years of service as a police officer, academy instructor, command post call-out operations officer, dispatcher, court records supervisor, and court clerk. Huth has developed industry-recognized curricula that prepare students for all careers through innovative student participation, hands-on skills, strong industry partnerships, and collaboration with fellow educators. Many of her former students have earned top honors in criminal justice competitions and now serve in law enforcement, the military, and other public safety professions. She also continues to teach post-secondary law enforcement courses.

Beyond the classroom, Huth is an active volunteer with professional organizations dedicated to education and public safety, and coaches cross-country, cheer & stunt, and track & field. She has authored and co-authored multiple books and currently serves as President of the Criminal Justice Instructors of Missouri. Huth has been recognized as the 2022 MPOA Citizen of the Year, 2023 Missouri DESE Breaking Traditions Educator of the Year, 2024 ACTE Trade and Industrial Education Division National Teacher of the Year, a 2025 ACTE Postsecondary Educator of the Year National Finalist, and the 2026 ILEETA Trainer of the Year.
