Industrial Automation and Robotics is a subsidiary of KC Tech Academy, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to create advanced manufacturing awareness and training to meet the high demands of industry in the Northland. 

 

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:
Industrial Automation and Robotics is an advanced manufacturing training program serving high school students with a focus on Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Fanuc Robotics, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), Fluid Power, Machining, and Electrical Motor Controls. This 2-year competency-based program is located at the Northland Career Center in Platte City, Mo. Industrial Automation and Robotics brings industry and education together to match the high-tech skills manufacturers seek. Employers are desperately seeking employees matching the skills that Industrial Automation and Robotics teaches. These careers are in high demand and high paying as there is an extreme shortage of workers with these skill sets. Industrial Automation and Robotics main goal is to teach students both technical and soft skills to prepare them for their fields in the industry. The objective is a successful pipeline of workforce-ready students excited about a career in advanced manufacturing who also have the soft skills needed to be successful upon graduation. The Industrial Automation and Robotics mission is: Industrial Automation and Robotics delivers industry-led education to empower life-ready manufacturing professionals.

Mr. Sayre Joined the NCC staff in the fall of 2020. He has more than two decades of manufacturing/production experience in a wide range of fields. He’s performed nearly every job from Apprentice Mechanic to Controls Engineer and eventually worked his way up to the plant Industrial Maintenance Manager. He studied Industrial Maintenance at MCC Business and Technology Center early in his career.
