Summer Letters / More Info (Still updating, but very close)

Summer Letters

If you have been accepted into an NCC program, you should have received an email from NCC to the email address(s) you entered on your application.  Your sending high school would also have been notified.  Additionally, you should receive a welcome letter in the mail in July. If you have not received a letter by July 20th, please contact NCC at 816-858-5505.

Registration Assistance Event

On August 7th, from 5:00 AM to 7:30 PM, NCC will be open for parents and students to get help with registration if needed.  It is also a great time to pay fees and complete other beginning of the school year tasks.  Teachers will not be present with one exception:

Health Sciences instructors will be present and request that all students  attend.  This is due to that program having some processes that need to start right away in order to be able to be approved to participate in clinicals.

Sending School Specific Info

All of our sending schools have school calendars.  NCC does our best to align our days with all our sending school calendars.  It isn't a perfect alignment and there could be days that you are expected to be at NCC and not at your sending high school.  The opposite is also possible.  Please pay attention to NCC's calendar and your high school calendar.

Bus times and routes for NCC are scheduled by your district transportation department or related staff.  NCC does try to have updated information on hand.  Driving and parking at NCC does require sending school and parent permission.  Some districts prefer all students ride the bus.  In the AM session, bus / van transportation can be delayed based on specific situations each day.  NCC does not penalize any students for bus or assisted transportation delays in arrival.  However, students are responsible for staying caught up with assigned work.

NCC's student handbook should be read by parents, guardians, and students, especially the identified bullet points.  Students will return the signature page to their instructor(s) the first week of classes.

Dual Credit / College Credit Opportunities at NCC

NCC partners with many post secondary schools so that NCC students may earn college credit.  Each program and college have different agreements with our partner institutions.

NCC's Updated Electronic Personal Communication Device Document - This is new for 2025-26

Information will be posted once we have finalized all the details of the new law and district policies.
